Surprise signing: RB Leipzig signs Willi Reincke from BFC Dynamo

RB Leipzig has strengthened its squad with the signing of 23-year-old midfielder Willi Reincke from BFC Dynamo. The young player has signed a two-year contract until summer 2028.

Reincke came from BFC Dynamo, where he scored eight goals and provided ten assists. The new RB Leipzig player was developed at Energie Cottbus, VfL Wolfsburg, and Werder Bremen. In 2022, he began playing in Werder's U23 men's team.

Coach and sports director Alexander Schmidt is pleased with the new player: „With Willi Reincke, we have won a strong and fast midfielder who was directly involved in many goals last season with his passing accuracy, shooting power, and ability to switch play. With his quality, Willi will definitely enrich us. We are therefore happy that he is now here.“

RB Leipzig currently ranks third in the Bundesliga with 65 points. The team has achieved 20 wins, 5 draws, and 9 losses in the last season. In the current season, RB Leipzig has scored 66 goals and conceded 47 cards. The title holder is 24 points behind the leaders Bayern Munich.
