RB Leipzig is considering a return for Christopher Nkunku. The 28-year-old striker, who was once the Bundesliga's top scorer, could come back after his time at Chelsea and Milan. Fabrizio Romano, and L'Equipe, initial talks are underway, though they are not yet concrete.
Why could Nkunku return?
Nkunku is still under contract with AC Milan until 2030 but has been sidelined by coach Ruben Amorim and is expected to leave this summer. Leipzig is one of several interested parties for the striker. Nkunku joined Leipzig from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 for €19.5 million and had a major breakthrough there. With RB, he won the DFB-Pokal twice and became the Bundesliga's top scorer in 2023. In 172 competitive games, he scored 70 goals and provided 56 assists.
