Nkunku: Possible Return to RB Leipzig

French attacking midfielder Christopher Nkunku is set to return to RB Leipzig from AC Milan on a loan with an option to buy. Leipzig is looking for a replacement after Yan Diomande’s departure to Real Madrid and has discussed options with Nick Woltemade and Jadon Sancho. Meanwhile, midfielder Eljif Elmas is leaving Leipzig on loan to Atalanta Bergamo.

Nkunku’s Return

Christopher Nkunku is set to return to RB Leipzig from AC Milan on a loan with an option to buy. Both parties have agreed on a loan deal with a purchase option. The 29-year-old attacking midfielder was under contract with Leipzig from 2019 to 2023 and shone in the 2021/22 season with 20 goals and 15 assists in the Bundesliga. After his moves to Chelsea and then AC Milan, the return to the Bundesliga is now on the table.

Goretzka and Elmas

The 31-year-old national player Leon Goretzka could also be close to a move to England. According to Fabrizio Romano, he is about to sign for Aston Villa, with the medical test still pending. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old midfielder Eljif Elmas is leaving Leipzig on a loan with an option to buy to Atalanta Bergamo. He had played 22 official matches for Leipzig since the winter 2023/24.
