RB Leipzig transferred around 20 million euros to CD Leganés in the summer of 2025 to secure Yan Diomande. The 19-year-old impressed in his first Bundesliga season with twelve goals and nine assists in 33 matches, earning him the Rookie of the Season award. Due to his strong performances, several top clubs, including FC Barcelona and Liverpool, are reportedly eyeing him. A transfer of Diomande could potentially bring RB Leipzig even more in the summer of 2026, as the transfer fee is expected to approach the 150 million euro mark. This, however, depends on a strong performance at the upcoming World Cup, where Diomande will play with the Ivory Coast. Given the high transfer fees, only a few clubs are capable of prying the young talent away from the Red Bulls. Besides Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also showing interest. Bayern Munich is reportedly on high alert, although it remains unclear if they would be willing to invest more than 100 million euros.
